What a great night of Southern fellowship we had in Newtonia, Missouri. The Freeman Chapter lead the night off with 30 members and guests attending our monthly meeting.
We were honored with Past Missouri Society Commander Jim Bushardt attending along with PCG Troy Massey who then was the guest speaker at our SCV Camp Meeting. His presentation was on “Gen. Jo Shelby.” The Chapter held elections for Officer’s positions for the 2021-2023 term and they will be sworn in at July’s meeting.
The Chapter Commander had the pleasure to award a supplement membership with the connection to General Robert E. Lee, Commander Army of Northern Virginia.
PCG and Real Grandson Chairman Troy Massey awarded 3rd Great Grandson Certificates and medals to members with ancestors that faithfully provided service in the CSA.
The Chapter Commander would like to thank all our Freeman members and officer team for making this an enjoyable past two years as your Commander. We have grown from our 8 Charter members to 35 at last count. Great Work!!God Bless the South and our Confederate Ancestors
